PRACTICE & RACE SCHEDULE
Team registration opens in early May, and depending on numbers we may accept new riders up until July 1, 2023. After this time it is up to the coaches' discretion to allow new registrations on a case-by-case basis. No students will be allowed to join the Flathead Cutties after July 1 unless they are transferring from another NICA team.
Team Practice Schedule:
Regular practice begins July 1. Practices are planned for Monday and Wednesday evenings, generally from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Please note this is subject to change as necessary for coach and trail availability.
We practice on a variety of trails around the valley including: Whitefish Trails System, Pig Farm/Kuhn Wildlife Refuge Trails, Herron Park and Cedar Flats. The season ends after the last race in early October. We understand that not everyone can make every practice, but we do require that all students attend at least 50% of practices to remain on the team.
All practice times and locations will be posted ONLY on our TeamSnap app, along with any last minute changes due to weather or trail closures.
2024 Montana NICA Race Schedule
August 31 & September 1st: Crosscut Classic and Crosscut Short Course Double Header (2 scoring races in one weekend!), Crosscut Mountain Sports Center, Bozeman
September 14th: Herron Hustle, Herron Park, Kalispell
September 28th: Copper Kings Clash, Big Butte Open Space, Butte
October 5th & 6th: Lolo Final Landing, Rossignol Ranch, Lolo (with makeup race scheduled for Sunday in case a race is cancelled)
